Happy New Camera

It finally came! We ordered a camera the other day, and now we can take pictures!!!! It is something I have never had before, and I love it. I decided on a DSLR camera because I would always miss out with the point and shoot. The delay was just enough. So, without further ado. Here are some photos. And please keep in mind that I am no professional. It will take some time for me to understand lighting and what not, but at least there are photos.

The Noodle actually had a chocolate blemish on his cheek and I was able to get rid of it.  That was a first.
Little Graham

This boy was puking all night last night.  I'd say he looks pretty good today.

No camera can make this girl smile for me.  Unless her chin is up and she is doing a big cheese.

This photo is for Boppy.  The Noodle just loves his Old School shirt.

As mentioned on the previous photo.  I can't get her to act or look normal.  Silly goose.
More from the sicko.  I can't believe he is smiling.

Fun Thing to Do!

It wasn't a super hot day here at our house, so we went outside for some fun. I was browsing blogs the other day (no I don't remember where I saw this, so I won't take credit for it's brilliance) and found a way fun recipe.
It was for sidewalk chalk paint. We had to make two batches because we had so much fun with the first one. I would show you pictures, but would you believe my camera broke. Yup. I am not destined to take photos.

Here is the recipe

1/4 c. of Corn Starch
1/4 c. of Water

Mix together. Add just a couple drops of food coloring, so you don't stain your sidewalk. Get some paint brushes and have fun. I wouldn't recommend the foam brushes because the sidewalk will tear them apart.

The kids painted the sidewalk, the pot out front, the fence, my toenails (which look fabulous) and each other. It comes right off. We will be doing this again. I loved it.

When you finally clean the car

It was a hot day yesterday. Like super hot. So what better thing to do than clean out the car! We had our garbage bags, (which came out totally full) and started the process. There was so much in there. I truly believe that when you have kids your car becomes a home in and of itself.
The Noodle was taking care of the back seat while I did the front. Chief and The Diva just danced around in the car. All the sudden I hear, "Mom! Look what I found!" I look and the Noodle found THE CAMERA!! Woot! I was so excited. I was sure there were some pictures I hadn't downloaded. Nope. But that was ok. At least I could take pictures again. And I can hold out until I can afford something better. Such a great find!

Like I mentioned, yesterday was hot. The kids saved up their bucks they earned for doing chores and decided it was a great day for ice cream with mom and dad. We were so glad they chose it! Since they worked hard we let them pick something really great from Dairy Queen. They all picked something big that ended up in the freezer later on. I promised I wouldn't sneak anyones ice cream. The kids told me not to sneak. Not their Dad. I guess they are trying to tell me something.

In Serious Need of a Camera

Can I just tell you the frustrations of not having a camera around when you need it.  Well, I just had one of those moments....

I had just put the boys to bed, and could hear them quietly chatting as I finished the dishes.  I was just relishing in the sound of them enjoying each others' company.  Such a wonderful peaceful feeling.  I should have known they were up to something.
That's when the Noodle came down and asked where his blanket was.  I told him and as he was walking down the stairs he started to giggle.  I looked at him and what did I see?
A huge pair of pajama shorts.  He had stuffed his stuffed animals in them.  It looked so funny I couldn't stop laughing, and then the tears started to roll.  (These were not just pregnancy tears.  It was really funny.) He is such a bean pole, his bum was totally out of character being so big.
Two seconds later, not to be outdone the Chief came down with even bigger ones in his shorts.  His front leg was about the size of my 6 month pregnant belly.  It was huge!!!  Plus he had a few in the back.  We just laughed and laughed.  My belly hurts.

I so wish I could have had my camera for that one.
